All Eyes on Us by Kit Frick (review)

 Trigger warning *conversion therapy*

Summary
The story focuses on two main female characters. They both have the same boyfriend except one of them is lesbian and the other one actually likes him. The dick's name is Carta and he's like a classic psychopath; rich, football star, incredibly kind to everyone. Just screams a nut job. Anyways, the two girls end up being stalked by a private number and at first it may seem like this private number is out to get Rosalie and Amanda, but fuck no! They be out to get Carta. A couple messages, threats and injuries later, the two girls come face to face with who they think private is. Turns out, it's not Ben and David, it's mother fucking...

OMG! OMG! OMG!

IT'S CARTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so excited! Do you know how difficult it has become for books to shock me?????????? Usually I'm like, yh ik that's the killer. BUT DAMN. I was not expecting that. Okay, let's break this down:

Overall I was in between a 3 and 4 star review the whole way through until "private" was revealed. That easily gets it a 4 - 4.5 rating.

In terms of the characters: ⭐⭐⭐⭐.
The characters were pretty well illustrated and I loved how it showed the way they convinced themselves of things that they knew weren't true so they wouldn't have to change.

The plot, an easy
My only criticism is that sometimes it felt like characters at the beginning stopped playing a part. For instance what on earth happened to her two best friends? It was like they were a really big part in the first chapters and then got like 5 lines for the duration of the rest of the book!!! (I'm still giving it five stars for plot twist though). Sorry, I just have to say it again. IT'S MOTHERFUCKING CARTA 😱😱😱😱🤯😲🤯😲😲😲😲🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯

The portrayal, once again,
This was just done to complete perfection. Rosalie admits to knowing it was wrong, not only to date someone else's bf but also to lead Cartah. She doesn't overdue and do the whole "it's all my fault that I dated a guy so didn't have to go to conversion therapy" as most female characters do, but she knows it wasn't right. As for Amanda she does confess (in her mind) that she was harsh to Ben despite who he turned out to be. And finally... Carta. This was the most impressive bit, the author gave a human explanation as to why he acted how he did without letting him off the hook. THAT IS RARE (especially when it's given from female character's persective about a guy)
.

The writing, idk, maybe ⭐.
It wasn't bad or anything, I just also can't remember anything good about it.

⭐ for enjoyment and I didnt include this in my other blog but ⭐ for the end moral. It really focuses on what happens when parents push their children too far- and it isn't exactly unusual.

This is probably suitable for years 12+ and perfect if you're into books like "good girls guide to murder".
